CARRYING ON A TRADITION: Did you know that the wartime crew of the Massachusetts
published a ship's newspaper? It was called the Bay Stater, and you can
examine authentic issues of this newspaper, which are on display in our Crewmembers'
Hall on BB59.
Today, Battleship Cove continues this
tradition by publishing the Bay Stater magazine, free with all of our Museum Membership
packages. This attractive quarterly publication keeps membes updated on Battleship
Cove's events and programs, and includes exclusive interviews with leadership
figures like Sentaor John McCain, and US Secretary of Veterans Affairs Anthony
Principi.
Additionally, the Bay Stater keeps you
current on all our ship restoration projects, and gives you a behind-the-scenes
perspective on our staff and museum leaders.
